Sam Houston 79 Event To Celebrate Outstanding Bearkats

The Sam Houston State University Alumni Association is honored to announce the inaugural Sam Houston 79 Business Award recipients. This outstanding group of 40 Bearkat owned or led businesses will be recognized during a luncheon on November 10 at The Citadel Houston Event Center. The event will celebrate the remarkable achievements of Bearkat Businesses, with the highlight being the unveiling of the 2023 Sam Houston 79 ranking.
The Sam Houston 79 is a prestigious initiative, aimed at identifying, acknowledging and commemorating the outstanding growth and success of businesses within the SHSU Bearkat community. To be eligible for consideration, businesses must be owned or operated by SHSU alumni, and they are required to submit financial documentation along with their application to demonstrate their eligibility. These Bearkat-associated businesses are not only excelling but also making significant contributions across a wide spectrum of industries and communities, showcasing the tangible impact of a SHSU education in the professional world.
